The Founders: Anna & Marinus
MARINUS ANDREAS KJELDSEN
Born in 1900 in Klim, Marinus came from a modest family. After marrying Anna, he started to work for his father-in-law, who owned a bakery. After founding Kelsen, he globally promoted the "Danish Butter Cookies" story and paved the way for future exports.
ANNA MARGRETHE MØLLER
Born in the 1900, Anna was the daughter of the town's master baker. She played a fundamental role in the company's early years by becoming a skilled salesperson. She convinced grocers to taste the cookies, returning late with empty tins and a full wallet.
