Sustainability
Kelsen Group understands the importance of its environmental stewardship, and we actively work towards more sustainable practices across our operations. This includes reducing our carbon footprint, minimizing waste and conserving natural resources. We are continuously seeking ways to reduce our environmental impact, working closely with the local authorities, to implement sustainable initiatives throughout our supply chain.
Kelsen is committed to environmental conservation and strives to protect our natural resources by continuing to invest on ways to:
1-Reduce carbon emission and energy use
Currently, we are working a heat recovery system, which has 2 aspects:
1. Installing a heat pump to capture excess heat from our ovens for heating our buildings.
2. Recovering heat from our compressed air systems to warm water in our factory.
2-Reduce waste
In our factories, we monitor closely the scraps on our production lines, setting our goals of waste reduction higher year after year.
3-Reduce water waste
We frequently review our water consumption to ensure efficient and conscientious usage.
4-Use sustainable packaging
At Kelsen, we prioritize high-quality packaging materials. Most of our packaging consists of metal tins, largely made from recycled materials. Tins are durable and provide better protection for our products, reducing food waste. Additionally, our paper and cardboard are mainly FSC certified, ensuring they come from responsibly managed forests adhering to strict environmental and social standards.
